This was a lovely scene I saw on a recent walk. The story that I want to tell is about the little bird. He looks over a vast landscape. I think he’s a little melancholy. I think we’ve all been that bird.

I am a working artist. My undergraduate and graduate degrees in art are from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, with additional graduate work at Johnson State University in Vermont. I have also completed several artist residencies, including Vermont Studio Center and SCUOLA di ARS GRAFICA in Venice, Italy.

My works have been shown nationally and internationally in over 60 juried exhibitions and solo shows. Recent exhibitions include the Blue Mountain Gallery in NYC, San Diego Museum of Art and Savannah College of Art and Design. I have been a visiting artist at several universities and have won awards for my work. I’ve also shown my work in the UK, Italy, France, Germany and China.
