This limited edition art print is taken from an original gouache and ink painting created onsite inside the Bates Reading Room at the Boston Public Library. Measuring 5.5 x 8 inches it will be a great piece to add to your art collection.

I painted this piece while seated among the long oak tables and iconic green reading lamps, capturing the rhythm of the room as patrons read, write, and disappear into their own worlds. It took many tries in mixing to get the color of the ink lamps just right. Loose ink lines and layered gouache washes reflect both the structure of the architecture and the soft hush of the space. I'm very proud of this piece and placing it in your office or study will remind you of time to read and reflect.
