The cool fall wind, shifting sand, and open blue horizon echo the same conditions that shaped the earliest days of aviation. Standing in the landscape where Orville and Wilbur tested their gliders and rewrote history, I set up my easel and let the steady coastal atmosphere guide the brushwork.
