July's Print is "Little White Church"
I was driving along the beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway in the North Carolina mountains spending the day making plein air paintings. I pulled off a side road and went down through a field of tobacco and found this little white church. I loved the way that the white was reflecting blues and blue-violets so I created this painting.
This month is an oil painting. I’ve stayed away from oil paints for some time but I have taken them back on with vigor. I love the juicy-ness of the painting. I enjoy painting the reflective surfaces and the little white highlights. I hope you enjoy the print.
