Original Oil Painting | 7 x 7 Inches
From the 100 Paintings in 100 Days Series

There is something timeless about a single piece of fruit illuminated against a dark background. I have always enjoyed the old master oil paintings that you see in museums and this is painted in that style with glazing and brushwork. In Single Peach, I wanted to celebrate the quiet beauty of an ordinary subject and explore the rich color relationships between warm orange tones and deep shadow.

Painted with expressive brushwork and a limited palette, this original oil painting captures the soft glow and subtle imperfections of a ripe peach resting in the light. The dramatic contrast between the luminous fruit and the dark background gives the painting a contemplative quality reminiscent of traditional still-life paintings while maintaining a fresh, contemporary feel.

Single Peach is part of my ongoing 100 Paintings in 100 Days project. A commitment to creating one painting every day for one hundred consecutive days. Through this series, I am exploring the beauty of everyday objects and the discipline of a daily creative practice. Each painting becomes a visual record of a single day and a reminder that extraordinary subjects are often found in ordinary moments.

Whether displayed in a kitchen, dining room, breakfast nook, or gallery wall, Single Peach offers a warm and inviting touch of color and simplicity.
